Michigan women's basketball gave #7 Ohio State all they could handle Friday night. The Wolverine women trailed by only two at the half, took a one point lead to start the second half, and kept it close until the end when the Buckeyes pulled away.

This with a roster now consisting of two sophomores and five freshmen out of the original eleven players who started the season. Coach Burnett has supplemented the seven currently active original players with three Michigan volleyball players and two walk-on basketball players.

Although the rest of the schedule will be tough, hope remains that maybe Michigan can get at least one win before 2005-06 draws to a close.
