Saw a bit of the news today on one of the network affiliates here in Flint, Michigan and there was conservative talking puppet Thomas Friedman spewing inane gibberish about the situation in Iraq. Conveniently forgetting, of course, to be at all truthful about the United States role in making Iraq the basket case it is today, including Uncle Sam's longtime support for none other than Saddam "Satan" Hussein himself. The level of delusion and willful ignorance in the American mainstream is sickening and well-nigh Orwellian. "We" are always portrayed as purely innocent do-gooders and "they" as nothing but crazy terrorists and tyrants. Meanwhile the American corporate/government/military complex goes on in its own terroristic, greedy, and tyrannical ways, while useful idiots like Friedman sing the praises of Our Noble Leaders.
