The Detroit Shock's six game winning streak ended last night as Indiana won 66-56. The Shock now are in third place with a 10-5 record, one game behind both Connecticut and Indiana. They play at Connecticut tonight, and a win there would pull the Shock even with the Sun at 11-5.

Indiana is 12-5 with their next game on Saturday against none other than Connecticut. So things are getting very interesting indeed at the top of the WNBA Eastern conference...stay tuned for further developments.

In Major League Baseball, the Detroit Tigers had the day off yesterday and open a series at Pittsburgh today. They are currently two and a half games ahead of the White Sox in the AL Central.
