The Rolling Stones played these songs at halftime: Start Me Up, Rough Justice, and (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction. Before the last of these songs, Mick Jagger commented that "we could have played this at Super Bowl I. And indeed they could have, as "Satisfaction" came out in 1965 and the first Super Bowl was in 1967. But back then, the NFL did not have rock and roll bands playing at the Super Bowl.
