And so the lame, insipid, jejune 1980s band INXS is in fact making a comeback with a new singer to replace the original one who croaked himself eight years ago. I knew this was going to happen, of course, because of the "reality show" which was the means whereby the new singer was chosen.

Was this really necessary? INXS basically typified all that was Wrong With Mainstream 1980s Pop Music, and I just don't see any pressing need to bring them back from the Scrapheap of History. On the other hand, I am sure that there are at least some people who are nostalgic for this crap, so they will probably at least make something out of it.
