The Detroit Red Wings are down 2 games to 1 in their first round playoff series against Edmonton. Things are not looking good in Hockeytown at this point.

Up the road in Auburn Hills, the outlook is much better as the Pistons took the first two games from Milwaukee.

The Detroit Tigers return home in second place in the American League Central division, just two games behind the defending World Series champion White Sox. The Tigers are currently at the top of the AL wild card standings. It has been a long hard trip back to being a contender, but it looks as though the Tigers at last have a solid team that can make baseball season in the Motor City fun again.
